Good Afternoon All - As many of you know, the Southwest Charter School has finally opened! Our fist day of school was Wednesday, September 12th!! After two and a half years of hard work, our vision of small class sizes and connection to our community is now living! Thanks to all of you who have contributed.

We do still space at the school. If you have an interest in small class sizes for your children and they aren't enrolled at SWCS, you should visit the school and talk with the principal and teachers.

Also, we do have a need for PE equipment. If anyone has balls, jump ropes, a basketball hoop, etc., please contact Sue at the school or drop by. The location is:

Lastly, as some of you know, we will be looking for our long term home ASAP. One site that is a possibility it the Armory on Multnomah Blvd. Five proposals for the site have been submitted. One was submitted by Community Partners for Affordable Housing. We have had preliminary discussions with them about integrating the school into their plans.

There is a meeting tonight at the Armory where the five different proposals will be reviewed.

**The meetings will be held on-site in the center drill hall. Because we are meeting on Army Reserve property, please refrain from bringing backpacks, and all attendees will be required to show picture ID upon entering the building.**
