Hi All - Hope you are well. There are a few announcements in tonight's update.

We will be having another orientation on Tuesday evening, July 31st. Come meet our new Principal, Sue Carter, hear more about the curriculum and the work on the location for the school. The specifics are:

SOUTHWEST CHARTER SCHOOL ORIENTATION
Date: Tuesday, July 31st
Time: 7:00 - 8:30 PM
Location: Multnomah Art Center (Room 30)- 7688 SW Capital Highway.

Pre-K PROGRAM
Based on demand and the experience that Sue has with Pre-K programs, the Southwest Charter School will be offering a Pre-K program beginning this fall for children ages 4 and 5. Details on the program will be available shortly.

OFFICE HOURS
Sue is having office hours next Wednesday and Thursday, August 1st and 2nd for individual parent meetings. She's meeting with parents in Studio 6C at the Multnomah Arts Center from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Please call her at 503-927-2792 to set up an appointment.

LAMPS THRIFTWAY FUNDRAISING
As with many of the schools in the area, there is now a Southwest Charter School bin at the Lamb's Garden Home Thriftway. Lamb's will donate 3-5% of your purchase from Saturday shopping to the SWCS. Simply deposit your receipt in the Southwest Charter School bin when you shop on Saturdays. Also, you can donate your bottle return deposits receipt at anytime.
